Thank you, for visiting the Lea Bridge Conservation Volunteers' (LBCV) website, which is still having content added, so please bookmark and revisit again soon.
LBCV do practical hands-on conservation tasks, the first Sunday of every month, in North-East London. |
|
LBCV's next task will be on Sunday 7 December 2008 when we will be coppicing at Horseshoe Thicket on Walthamstow Marsh. This is our annual coppicing adventure on the marsh, where last year we had the friendly attentions of the ‘old breed' cows, which made for a very interesting day. See the photos of our last visit here. |

Everybody is welcome to join LBCV doing a hands-on practical conservation task in North East London, on the first Sunday of the month. No experience is needed, we provide the training, tools, along with the tea, coffee and biscuits, bring your own packed lunch. Please wear suitable clothing for the weather and stout footwear. We will endeavour to do the planned task, no matter what the weather, a task will only be changed if the weather makes it unsafe to do the work. Please arrive by 10am, at 1 Connaught Close, Leyton E10 7QS, opposite the Riding Stables on Lea Bridge Road. There is secure cycle parking at Connaught Close, but you are welcome to cycle to the task location after you have visited the group before 10am. If you are going to be late, or wish to join us on site, or join us later in the day please call 07757 766950, so we can provide enough tools, this number will now be permanently turned on. Please leave a contact number so we can inform you if the task has to be changed at the last minute. If you have any queries please check the Frequently Ask Question (FAQ) pages and then use the Contact Us form to email LBCV with your unanswered queries.
